     Vehicles are essential so that we can live and work, support our families, and be prepared for action should an emergency arise.  Vehicles give us freedom.  They are our lifeline.  

     It doesn't take a genious to know that vehicles wear out and die everyday.  They quit at the worst possible time.  They become unsafe.  They can be wrecked, undrivable and totaled.  Whatever the reason, when they hit the end of the road, they need to be replaced ... Or else.

      "Or else" could be very bad news.  When the Governor ordered us closed as a "non essential" business, Ready Value Auto Sales applied to the State for a WAIVER to the shut down rule based on the argument that vehicle sales are in fact "essential" and “life sustaining”.  The WAIVER request was denied.

     We have spoken to, and emailed, State Representative Mark Longietti, State Senator Michelle Brooks, State Represetative Parke Wentling, the PA Dept. of Community Development and the Office of the Governor to drive home the fact that our business IS in fact "essential and life sustaining” and we have customers in dire need to prove it.  When people loose their vehicle and need to get to work, obtain essentials, care for their families, keep medical appointments and be prepared for emergency,  THEY NEED A PLACE TO BUY A CAR.

     In mid-April, the Republican majorities in the Pennsylvania House and Senate passed bill SB631, a bill that would have allowed us to open with specific safety guidelines. It was sent to Democrat Governer Wolf for his signature to make it law. He vetoed it. And we wait.

     We feel your pain. We want to be here for you in your time of need.  We take our responsibility to serve you safely and in your time of need seriously.  We are doing everything within reason to help.

     Currently we are in compliance with the shut down order and are following guidance set forth by health professionals to stay safe and keep others safe.  We look forward to guidance from the public health authorities to provide us with a date to reopen.
