OUR SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY DURING THE CORONAVIRUS HEALTH CRISIS
- Maintain at least 6 foot social distancing from all other individuals.
- Mark off 6 feet of distance with signage or tape for employees and customers to maintain safe space,
- Regularly clean all high-touch surfaces,
- Provide adequate soap at all hand washing stations,
- Do no shake hands,
- Provide hand sanitizer and sanitizing products,
- Provide separate hours for the vulnerable population,
- Provide online and remote access to as much of the facility as possible.
- Work primarily by appointment: restrict the time and number of appointments to ensure social distancing
- Transact online and by phone as much as possible to reduce in person interactions.
- Limit number of staff at the facility to maintain social distancing.
- Solo test drives: Test drives by one consumer at a time with no salesperson in the vehicle.
- Title transfer best practices: Complete as much paperwork as possible online and in person only as
necessary
- Delivery options: Delivery of the vehicle may occur at the lot or any other location offering enhanced social
distancing
- The delivery of a vehicle may involve only one dealership employee at any one time.
RELATED IMPLEMENTATION OF GUIDELINES
- Allow customers to keep the pen they sign all documents with,
- Place hand sanitizer on each desk,
- Clean and wipe down the inside of a vehicle after each test drive
- Utilize video and photographs to show vehicles remotely (limiting time in
dealership).
