OUR SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY DURING THE CORONAVIRUS HEALTH CRISIS

  1. Maintain at least 6 foot social distancing from all other individuals.
  2. Mark off 6 feet of distance with signage or tape for employees and customers to maintain safe space,
  3. Regularly clean all high-touch surfaces,
  4. Provide adequate soap at all hand washing stations,
  5. Do no shake hands,
  6. Provide hand sanitizer and sanitizing products,
  7. Provide separate hours for the vulnerable population,
  8. Provide online and remote access to as much of the facility as possible.
  9. Work primarily by appointment: restrict the time and number of appointments to ensure social distancing
  10. Transact online and by phone as much as possible to reduce in person interactions.
  11. Limit number of staff at the facility to maintain social distancing.
  12. Solo test drives: Test drives by one consumer at a time with no salesperson in the vehicle.
  13. Title transfer best practices: Complete as much paperwork as possible online and in person only as necessary
  14. Delivery options: Delivery of the vehicle may occur at the lot or any other location offering enhanced social distancing
  15. The delivery of a vehicle may involve only one dealership employee at any one time.

RELATED IMPLEMENTATION OF GUIDELINES

  • Allow customers to keep the pen they sign all documents with,
  • Place hand sanitizer on each desk, 
  • Clean and wipe down the inside of a vehicle after each test drive
  • Utilize video and photographs to show vehicles remotely (limiting time in dealership).
